The Toronto Raptors took a huge risk by handing over their favorite star, DeMar DeRozan, from their hometown, under a contract with Kawhi Leonard, a player whose health was dark and whose contract was about to expire. Leonard arrived big when his number was called all year.

May 19: Double win against Milwaukee
The Raptors were only seconds away from the 3-0 loss to the Bucks in the Eastern Conference finals. Imagine how different the conversation would have been if it had happened.
But then, Leonard pushed back the injury to score 36 points and win the double victory in overtime.
May 25: The 26-3 Raptors race gives them a lead in the series

June 13: closing of Oracle Arena
There were so many heroes in the decisive game 6 against the Warriors. Kyle Lowry, who dominated in the first period.
Fred VanVleet, who hit the clutch 3 after clutch 3 of the fourth.
Pascal Siakam, who hit the biggest shot of all.
