Parliament's first vice-president, Joseph Osei-Owusu, accuses parliamentarians of breaking the security protocol in the House.
Mr. Osei-Owusu said some MPs had grossly ignored the established security procedures and used their tags to allow their visitors to access the premises and walk around.
He noted that in some cases MPs were arguing with security personnel who stood on their land and refused to admit guests to the premises.
The comments of the member for Bekwai follow a statement made Friday by his Builsa South counterpart, Dr. Clement Apaak, who is concerned about the level of potential attack to which members are exposed in the House.
A 35-year-old suicide attempt by Kojo Mensah at Parliament's tribune on Thursday exacerbated his concern.

Responding to Mr. Apaak's concerns, Mr. Osei-Owusu, who chaired the proceedings of the House that day, repeatedly stated that the rules had been broken, that members had played a role.
"Everyone who comes in has been helped by one person or another. If we break the rules, if we argue with security guards who are preventing visitors, we have not approved [then] how can security agents help us?
Collins Owusu-Amankwaah, MP for the electoral district of Manhyia North, believes that, despite the importance of scrupulously adhering to the security provisions of the House, it is necessary to take into account the difficult situations in which members sometimes find themselves. .
"How do you limit the very people who elected you? Just call on them for there to be rules of engagement, "said Gifty Andoh Appiah the vice chairman of the parliamentary committee for defense and the interior, quoted in Top Story on Joy FM.
Although Mr. Owusu-Amankwaah acknowledges that the safety of MPs can not be compromised, he wants the House to sometimes give a "human face" when implementing the rules.
