Coronation Street has turned out to be a place where stars can find love with a partner who is famous in itself.
Cupid has worked his magic on the pavement and the following Weatherfield soap stars have partnered with a life partner, who is also known throughout the country.
Faye Brookes and Gareth Gates
Faye Brookes, who plays Kate Connor on the cobblestones, has been part of Pop Idol's former finalist Gareth Gates since 2012.
They met when they played one in front of each other in Legally Blonde: The Musical. Despite the total cancellation of the project last September, they quickly reconciled and became engaged in January.
Faye promised that their marriage would be "epic".

Georgia Taylor and Mark Letheren
Georgia Taylor returned to Coronation Street to retake her character, Toyah Battersby, but while she was far from the ITV soap opera, she found her husband.
She met Mark Letheren while they were both playing at Casulaty in 2008.
Mark has had many television roles, including The Bill, Silent Witness, and Reverend Chris Skinner in EastEnders in 2014.

Jane Danson and Robert Beck
Jane Danson has been playing in Leanne on Corrie for several years and found love with fellow actor Robert Beck, who also starred in the soap opera ITV as Jimmy Dockerson from 2008-2009.
Beck is a veteran of soap appearances, with time on screen in Doctors, The Bill and Hollyoaks, among others.

Samia Ghadie and Sylvain Longchambon
Samia and Sylvain found love when they collaborated on ITV 's Dancing On Ice show in 2013.
Sylvain is a professional skater and has been appearing on Dancing On Ice for many years.
The couple is married and has a son, Yves, together.

Brooke Vincent and Kean Bryan
Brooke Vincent was an actress of Corris as an actress of Sophie Webster and she found love with Manchester Academy footballer Kean Bryan in 2016.
He then joined Sheffield United and will return to the Premier League next season.

Helen Flanagan and Scott Sinclair
Helen Flanagan, Brooke's sister on the screen, is another footballer on the arm.
Helen fell in love with Celtic star Scott Sinclair in 2009 and they intend to get married after being engaged to Disneyland Paris in 2018.
They have two daughters, Mathilde and Dalila.

Sue Nicholls fell in love with Mark Eden, who played one of the most despised villains of Coronation Street in Alan Bradley.
He played in the soap opera from 1986 to 1989, after being struck by a tram in an infamous episode.

Shayne Ward and Sophie Austin
Shayne Ward may have left Weatherfield in one of the most heartbreaking scenarios in recent years, but he had a happier off-screen time, in which he met Hollyoaks star Sophie Austin.
Sophie played Lindsey Butterfield on the soap opera until 2016, after which she worked in Call the Midwife and Doctors.
They welcomed a girl, Willow, in December 2016.

Ryan Thomas and Lucy Mecklenburgh
Ryan Thomas had already been married to his Corrie co-star, Tina O 'Brien, but after collapsing, he discovered love with reality star, Lucy Mecklenburgh.
Lucy is known for her appearances in ITV2's The Only Way Is Esbad, from 2010 to 2013.
Ryan and Lucy met Bear Grylls on Celebrity Island in 2017 and have been together ever since.
