UEW authorities suspended the elections
Dr. Frimpong Kaakyire Duku, lecturer and former president of the UTAG, has sued the University of Winneba Education (UEW) for the election process of one. Vice-Chancellor.
Dr. Duku, represented by Effutu MP Alexander Afenyo-Markin, described the electoral process as "discriminatory and illegal".
The speaker alleged in his lawsuit that the process was limited to a handful of elected officials, to the detriment of other equally qualified people.
Following the action commenced on Thursday, June 13, 2019 before the High Court of Winneba, the university authorities suspended the poll scheduled for today, Friday, June 14, 2019, until further notice.
