Jurgen Klopp has been tasked to sign substitutes for Alberto Moreno and Daniel Sturridge in Liverpool.
Moreno and Sturridge announced that they would leave Anfield after Liverpool's win in the Champions League final on Tottenham.
Neither player was a regular on the first team under Klopp, but both were called occasionally when team rotation was needed.
Former Liverpool striker Neil Mellor praised the starting lineup that Klopp collected at Merseyside, calling it "outstanding".
But Mellor believes the Liverpool boss has to find substitutes for Moreno and Sturridge to make sure the Reds will not run out of cover for next season.
"So many players are still tied to Liverpool, it's always so," said Mellor at americangambler.com
"What I would say is that Moreno and Sturridge leaving Liverpool mean more coverage needed for these positions.
