Crystal Palace wants Manchester United to waive the selling costs of Wilfried Zaha's contract as a sweetener in the negotiations for the signing of Eagles defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

United has seen its purchase offer rise to about 40 million pounds sterling for Wan-Bissaka, while Palace was worth more than 60 million pounds.

The Reds should return with an improved offer, but should not go as far as Palace's badessment regarding the 21-year-old.

Manchester City has paid £ 50 million for Kyle Walker in 2017, making him the most expensive English defender of all time.

United is desperate to get the defender signed, but estimates that a £ 60 million package is high and the Guardian reports that Palace is studying other ways to make a difference.

One of the possible ways to be touted is the suggestion that United could remove a sales commission in Zaha's contract that would give Palace full rights to a future commission if it is sold.

United demanded a 20% sell-out clause when it allowed Zaha to return to Selhurst Park in 2015 and could pocket up to £ 16m if a club meets the £ 80m valuation of Palace for winger this summer.

Removing the clause would essentially result in an badessment of Palace for Wan-Bissaka and the Eagles would then be more likely to let the defender move to Old Trafford.

Wan-Bissaka, for his part, made it clear that he felt the opportunity to join United was a "unique opportunity in his life".

The defender will not file a transfer request to leave Selhurst Park, but hopes fees will be agreed in the coming weeks.

Wan-Bissaka is currently in international service with the Under-21s of England, but he wants his future to be resolved before leaving for his summer vacation before returning for the pre-season.
