A 14-year-old St. Ann's Primary School student in Damongo, capital of the Savanna region, is in the hands of the Damongo police for threatening to kill his teachers.

The teenager (undisclosed identity) was arrested by the police after an official complaint was lodged at the police station by the director of the school, Mr Amos Akuro.

An eyewitness told Nkilgi FM, based in Bole, that the boy had a misunderstanding with some of his peers and that they were all disciplined by the headmaster.

The suspect's companions later informed the headmaster that he had been seen brandishing a gun the next morning when he was threatened with killing any teacher who would dare to retaliate to harbad him.

Mr. Akuro quickly went to the Damongo Police Station to file a complaint.

Upon his arrival, the police took the boy from school to his home, where a search was held in his room.

Officers found a locally made gun that the suspect had brandished at school.
