(WDBJ7 / Gray News) – A Texas food company has recalled more than 246,000 pounds of frozen and non-ready-to-eat breakfast packs after potential contamination of small rocks.
Ruiz Food Products Inc. recalls more than 246,000 pounds of breakfast envelopes potentially contaminated with "foreign materials," particularly rocks.
According to the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), packs of frozen eggs, potato baco and cheese were made on January 17 and 18, 2019.
The following article is recalled:
• Packs of 8 family-size films containing "EL MONTEREY EGG SAUCE, EGG POTATOES, BACON & CHEESE" with "best if used" expiry dates of 01/17/2020 and 18/01 / 2020 and lot codes 19017 and 19018.
The company has received a report stating a potential injury badociated with the consumption of one of the breakfast packages.
