The answer of Gary Neville to the shock of Soccer Aid 2019 Jamie Carragher

Gary Neville surprised anyone by discovering Jamie Carragher on Twitter after the former defender suffered a scorching first half for England XI against World XI at Soccer Aid.

Carragher was manhandled from the start at Stamford Bridge and was slightly booed by some fans because of the Chelsea-Liverpool rivalry.

He defended himself against the Olympic gold medalist nine times, Usain Bolt, and there was a sign of the future to come when Bolt beat Carragher and left him lying on the field.

It was bad. Certainly. But for the legend of the Reds, the situation worsened at halftime.

Much worse.

A few minutes before the break, Carragher took command when a long ball was thrown forward in the direction of Bolt.

Carragher misjudged the rebound, got himself caught as a schoolboy and allowed the multi-Olympic gold medalist Bolt to score and bring back the XI World in the match to 2-1.

Neville clearly appreciated the mistake of his long-time rival, Sky Sports Compadre, tweeting: "I was on Twitter! Embarrbading!" with a link from one video to the goal.

Carragher was quick to respond, however, and defended himself by saying, "Read it all day, deceived by the bounce and then a miss, nothing I can do T-bag."

He also replied to a Tweet by Paddy Power making fun of the mistake. Carragher said: "This is not an error when the ball does not bounce properly and the attacker misses the shot."

Other Twitter users really enjoyed the jokes between the two Sky Sports experts.

One of them, referring to Neville 's break on Twitter, said: "I knew it would take you back lol", while another added: "In the l'. Waiting for the next time he'll criticize John Stones! "

And a cheeky user could not resist a reference to one of Carragher's most famous comment lines, saying, "BOLT YOU LITTLE DANCER!"

Before Bolt's goal, a brace of freestyle footballer Jeremy Lynch had given England XI the lead in the match to support UNICEF.
