Understand the work of God

THE WORLD is full of works. Men and women are engaged in various jobs under the sun. There are the works of men and women, the works of the devil and the work of God. All these works are done in the world. This means that men and women work not only for themselves, but also for the devil and God.

The man was made and placed in the ground to work. The Bible says, "The LORD God took the man and put him in the garden to work it and keep it. And the LORD God commanded the man to say, "You shall not eat of any tree of the garden, but you shall not eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil …" ( Genesis 2: 15-16).

But, aside from the men and women who work for themselves and their fellows, almost all work for God or for the devil too. Working for the devil, it's being captured by him to engage in his destructive activities and promote his desires. Yes, there are works of the devil in the world. And he's catching people to work for him. The Lord Jesus Christ revealed this in his words to the Jews who refused to believe in him:

"You do the works that your father has done … You are your father's devil and your will is to do your father's desires. He was a murderer from the beginning and does not tell the truth because there is no truth. And the Apostle John also says that "… the reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil" (1 John 3: 8).

There is no doubt that the devil has works in the world that are accomplished by himself, his fallen angels (demons, evil spirits) and the people he has captured to advance his works. The works of the devil are bad deeds, acts of lawlessness and all sins, including unbelief, curses, bestiality, homobaduality, corruption, oppression, the exploitation and murders that tarnished the nations of the world.

Then there is the work of God in the world revealed by the Lord Jesus Christ. And there are many men and women who have also been called to do the work of God. One day, as he was teaching the Jews, Jesus revealed the work of God. It was then that the Jews asked him what the work of God was.

"Then they said to him," What must we do to fulfill the works of God? Jesus answered them, "It is the work of God to believe in him whom he has sent" (John 6: 28-29). Note that Jesus emphasized "the work of God" and not "the works of God" as the Jews say. We can now see that God's greatest work on earth is to bring sinners to believe in Jesus Christ. Obviously, getting sinners from the slavery of the sins that they believe in Jesus Christ for their freedom is a job, a serious business.

This work involves vigorous preaching of the gospel, teaching the Word of God, healing, deliverance, prayer, fasting and other things to save people from the dominant power of the Devil. God fills the people he calls, prepares them and sends them to do this work in the world. Thus, the greatest duty of the true apostles, prophets, evangelists, bishops and teachers and other workers of God is to make people believe in Jesus Christ.

To believe in Jesus Christ is to have complete confidence, to believe in him and to commit himself to the grace that saves in his name and in the message of his death, burial, resurrection and his second coming. Believing in Jesus Christ, it is wanting to get to know Christ, to get to know Christ, to know Christ, to live the life of Christ, to grow in Christ, to conform to the image of Christ and finally to leave this earth to stay with Christ forever.

People turn to the Lord as ministers preach the gospel of salvation and teach the Word of God in cities and towns around the world. Thus, the servants of Christ do the work of God, by the spirit and grace of God. They do this work carefully by getting people to believe in Jesus Christ. Everything we do or say that leads people to believe in Christ is the work of God, but the acts and speeches that make people believe in Christ are in fact the work of the devil.

Indeed, there is the work of God in the world, a serious matter of getting people to believe in Jesus Christ for the salvation of their souls. It is for this reason that the Lord Jesus, the Creator Son of God, came into the world and shed His blood without sin for the salvation of the sinful soul. And knowing the meaning of this work, the Lord calls, trains and sends people to the world to call His people to repentance and salvation.

"Go therefore, make disciples of all nations, baptize them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you every day until the end of the world "(Matthew 28: 19-20).

However, unbelievers do not consider the work of God as a serious work. They make fun of it and make fun of it. They can not see how they will perish on the last day, but spoil the work of salvation. For them, getting people to believe in Jesus Christ is a foolish job, but for those who are being saved, it is the power of God and a noble work.
