Morgan International Community School (MICS) located in Gomoa Manso, Central Region, completed the third batch of students enrolled in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IB2) in a colorful ceremony that took place place on the campus of Gomoa Manso School on Saturday, June 8, 2019.

The ceremony was marked by the graduation of International Baccalaureate Diploma 2 by 19 students. It also coincided with the School's 6th Award Ceremony, which honored deserving students, hard-working teachers and staff.

Political figures, government appointees, Gomoa Manso community leaders and traditional leaders, friends, families, students and school alumni paid tribute to the event . Guests include the Deputy Minister of Lands and Natural Resources, the Hon. Nana Eyiah Quansah (guest lecturer) and vice-chancellor of the University of Winneba Education, Reverend p. Anthony Afful-Broni (chair).

In his welcoming remarks, the Deputy Minister of Lands and Natural Resources, the Hon. Nana Eyiah Quansah appealed to parents and guardians to help them equip their pupils with entrepreneurial skills, in addition to an academic background, in order to prepare them for a better future.

According to her, helping children to develop entrepreneurial skills in addition to their educational background not only guarantees them a better future, but also a variety of employment opportunities to achieve financial freedom.

For his part, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Winneba Education, the rev. Professor Anthony Afful-Broni (President of the occasion) instructed students to become the catalyst that would help change the world, wherever they are.

"I know you are going to be the ones going out to change the world, not just words, but actions and the spirit of enterprise. I pray that you will not join the Ghana Unemployed Graduates Association, but end up becoming people of entrepreneurial spirit and creating wealth, jobs and creating our future. "

In his remark, the founder of MICS, Mr. Obed Danquah congratulated the parents, guardians and shareholders of the school for their unwavering support that allowed the school to stay healthy in its footsteps over the years. years. While invoking God's blessings on them for the gesture, he revealed that the school will soon be standing up without the support of its shareholders (parents, teachers and others), adding, "because if you look at the balance sheet, The growth of the school is actually so fast that it will not need the support of shareholders any longer. "

Counseling the students, Mr. Obed Danquah, who is also the founder and the chief pastor of the Enriching Lives Ministry, said: "Whatever you do, pbad it on to society and let it benefit you, because if you realize something else, society does not benefit, it becomes a waste. "

The awards, which constitute the 6th edition of the school's history, have been divided into different categories. They have earned several deserving students, teachers, administrators and school badistants, to be awarded several prizes. Selma Ewurama Adams was voted Best Graduate Student (IB2) in the Best Awards category of the year, while Ashley Mahrer was voted Best Student of the Year (IB1).

For the primary level, Fiona Bagnah-Gamon was also named the best student of the year. Bright Andoh was honored with the Best Teacher Award for the year, while Marian Akobanyam was named Best Auxiliary of the Year. Mary-Ann Sowah and Yaa Boatemaaamoah-Kpentey, respectively.
