Man Utd and Tottenham attack target in midfield reacts to 60 million pounds

James Maddison said Sky Sports News he "takes speculation transfer measures in his stride" amid reports that the Leicester star is ready for a summer run of £ 60m.

The 22-year-old is strongly linked to a withdrawal from King Power Stadium after an impressive first season in the Premier League, where he scored seven goals and seven badists in 36 games.

Britain's Under-21 international signed at Norwich for £ 22 million last summer would have been touted for a move to Manchester United and Tottenham this window.

But when asked if a "£ 60 million prize" and a transfer conversation would play in his mind at the upcoming U21 European Championships, Maddison, who would also be a target for Arsenal, said Sky sports"No, you just have to ignore that and take it all in your stride.

"As a 17-year-old boy, I started five games for Coventry and saw on my phone that I was tied to Tottenham and Liverpool.

"With the transfer conversation, you have to take that as a compliment that people even talk about you, that will not distract me."

Maddison may have been a surprise omission from the senior Three Lions team for the finals of the League of Nations in Portugal, but the midfielder believes that being with the under-21s will be more beneficial.

He added: "This tournament will be a better experience for me than what it would be to sit on the bench of the League of Nations, I have been asked a few times and I will never look at it and will think if I should be with the seniors.

"I will never be disappointed to represent the M21 with my country, I am excited and proud to be here.

"I feel like I'm a much more experienced player now in the field, I look around for lunch and think of myself and Demarai [Gray] are the old men here!

"There is little that I can help these young guys with and in terms of game management.

"I've played over 150 club-level games, I really think I'm an older professional now."
