According to reports, Chelsea has rejected offers from Barcelona and Atlético de Madrid in the amount of £ 35 million.

Willian has made nearly 300 appearances for Chelsea since signing Anzhi Makhachkala in 2013.

Although not always a regular at Chelsea's starting lineup, Willian helped the Blues win two Premier League titles, the Europa League, FA Cup and EFL Cup while in Stamford Bridge. .

The current Brazilian contract will expire next year and Chelsea wants to keep it under control this summer despite the prospect of losing a player for free in 12 months.

That's because the club has been hit by a transfer ban and is already trying to cope with the absence of Eden Hazard, who made a move to Real Madrid earlier in the month.

Barcelona attempted to sign Willian last summer and Sky Sports said the Spanish giants had now revived their interest and submitted a bid of £ 35 million.

Atletico, his rival from La Liga, equalized the offer, but Chelsea said the two offers had been rejected.

Willian, for one, would like to stay in Chelsea and sign a new two-year contract with the club.

There is however a lot of uncertainty at Stamford Bridge after the departure of Maurizio Sarri, who joined Juventus after just a year of living in West London.

Sarri led Chelsea to the glory of the Europa League and a third place in the Premier League, but left much to the relief of the majority of Blues fans.

Frank Lampard, who has had a sensational career in Chelsea, is the lead candidate at Sarri Square after impressing at Derby County last season.

The Rams reached the finals of the Lampard Dam, but were beaten at Wembley by Aston Villa.
