Accra, June 17, GNA
– Cynthia Mamle, Minister of Gender, Childhood and Social Protection
Morrison called on Ghanaians to appreciate the fathers' efforts.

A signed declaration
and copied to GNA said that there are experiences and moments of life that
the resounding impact on them, and one of those feelings was the father's love.

"How can we forget
those who gave us our soul and who proudly named us to be identified as theirs?
Anyone can be a biological father, but it takes a real man to be responsible
and a good father ".

The male parent who
has a legal right, paternal bond and social relationship with the child is a father.

We say a father
raises the child in the right moral way; He lives as a pillar of strength,
support and discipline for children and the family in general.

The statement says
an affectionate, supportive and involved father can contribute
greatly to the cognitive, linguistic and social development of his child, as well
school success.

Father's Day is so
celebrated to honor fathers and to celebrate fatherhood, paternal bonds and
influence of fathers in society.

The minister said
the active role of fathers in the lives of children protects them against
behavioral problems, including alcohol and drug abuse.

Fathers define the
standards, apply the rules and provide for the financial needs of their families
emotionally, which means that the father's responsibilities at home extend
beyond financial security to create an environment conducive to good
development of children.

"The stakes of
disability, vulnerability and marginalization would be minimal in our country,
if all fathers understand their role in the lives of their children. This explains
why are we still imploring fathers who are not currently active in the life of
their families live up to expectations and to train our children to fully
functional adults ".

The Ministry
therefore greets exceptionally all the fathers who belong to their ideal father
and who make themselves relevant in the lives of their children,
families and communities.

They recognize the
multitasking and risks that fathers take as office workers, drivers, "family bank",
security guards, electricians, mechanics, farmers, carpenters, plumbers
and religious leaders to meet the needs of the family and prove their
masculinity to gain respect as a family head.

The minister also
asked that fathers be respected and supported in a non-violent environment to
glow. That they understand, support and support fathers to overcome their
challenges.

The statement
however, said that children as young as 6 years old living on the street
around and at school, lack guidance, support and leadership from parents.

They are lost in
process of life and have to learn the hard way, whether good or bad. They do not
know their fathers even less than their models.

That's the statement
says implicitly that to the extent that there are good fathers, others
fail to take responsibility for their children that they bring into this world,
leaving the burden on the mothers.

"A real father does
itself relevant in the education of his children and is also defined as a
pillar against which the family relies ".

A real father is a
mentor and a motivator he said

June 16, a
been set aside to celebrate fathers especially those who have worked tirelessly
to raise their children religiously as their task entrusted by God.
