REIMS, France, June 17 (Reuters) – Norwegian playmaker Caroline Graham Hansen has said she is confident she will be ready for her final match on Saturday after an ankle injury in Game 2. 1 on South Korea.

Hansen appeared in discomfort after a late challenge from Kang Chaerim when she won a penalty in the 49th minute of the Group A match, but had to clear up shortly thereafter.

"I do not know yet, but I could not continue," she told reporters. "The doctors are positive and think that everything will be fine, but I will wait for the answer."

The Barcelona striker had started the match by scoring at home with a fourth-minute penalty, but seemed frustrated on the wing while dominating Korea dominated in the first period.

"It's extremely important to get her back, but it's a tough woman and we have a good medical staff," said Norway coach Martin Sjogren. "We'll see what the injury will be tomorrow, but I believe she'll be back."

Norway will face Italy, Brazil or Australia in the last 16 games in Nice on Saturday.

"I have been impressed by Italy and Brazil, but whatever we meet will be a challenge," Sjogren said. (Report by John Irish, edited by Ken Ferris)
