Ghanaians expressed sadness at a photo of students sitting on blocks in a clbadroom amidst the decision of MPs to build a new House of Parliament.

On the photo posted on Facebook by former presidential spokesman, Ben Dotse Malor, students were seen using cement blocks as tables and chairs.

The photo seemed to have aroused strong emotions since there is a saga between MPs and Ghanaian citizens on the construction of a new House of Parliament.

The members of parliament, both from the majority and the minority, were strongly criticized for having announced that they wanted to find funds for the construction of a new chamber.

According to MEPs, the existing House of Parliament is not roomy enough to allow them to carry out a successful procedure.

They claimed that the seats in the current room were inadequate, preventing them from feeling comfortable.

The announcement, however, sparked turmoil and negative reactions from many Ghanaians who say MPs are asking too much.

Some Ghanaians who have expressed their views have revealed that the $ 200 million in cost could be used for other projects much larger than the construction of a new room.

Actress Lydia Forson joined the deputies' tread for being corrupted as she took them for their decision.

At the same time, an army officer was reportedly jailed for publicly criticizing MPs in a video that went viral.
