PRAGUE, July 7 – The Bulgarian-Greek film The father won the first prize at the Karlovy Vary Film Festival in the Czech Republic yesterday, the organizers announced.

The film won the Crystal Globe Award.

American actresses Julianne Moore and Patricia Clarkson were also honored for their "outstanding contribution to world cinema" at the 54th edition of the festival in Karlovy Vary, a spa town in the west of the Czech Republic.
