Ole Gunnar Solskjaer revealed that Manchester United was still working on a number of potential signatures this summer.

The Red Devils have already made two summer deductions since the end of the season. Solskjaer brought Daniel James from Swansea City and Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Crystal Palace.

Manchester United continues to be tied to a host of other players while Solskjaer is looking to strengthen his squad before his first full season at the helm of the Premier League team.

It remains to be seen if Manchester United will make many more signatures before the closing of the transfer window at the end of August.

However, Solskjaer has now confirmed that the Red Devils are indeed looking for a number of other contracts if they can make them happen.

In an interview cited by Sky Sports, Solskjaer said: "This is a long-term project and a short-term project.

"You can not just think three years in a row, so we also have short-term goals.

"I think we've been pretty quiet and good on the market because we have the right people and we're still working on a file or two.

"Of course, we are always looking to improve the team and, throughout the summer, I have been in contact with Joel [Glazer] and Ed [Woodward] and all the people recruiting and badyzing. I must say that it has been very good so far. "

Manchester United had a disappointing campaign last quarter, finishing sixth in the Premier League and without a trophy last quarter.

They appealed to Solskjaer to replace Jose Mourinho after sacking the Portuguese coach in December.
