Cameron Boyce Died at 20: The Shock of the Disney Descendants Star in His Sleep

Cameron Boyce died at age 20, announced his family.

The cause of Cameron's death, who played Carlos in the Descendants, was announced as "a chronic state of health."

A family spokesman told ABC: "It is with a heavy heart that we report that we lost Cameron this morning.

"He died in his sleep as a result of a seizure resulting from a medical condition for which he was being treated.

"The world is now without any doubt without one of its brightest lights, but its spirit will live through the kindness and compbadion of all who knew and loved it.

"We are heartbroken and ask for the protection of our privacy during this extremely difficult time as we mourn the loss of our precious son and brother."

The actor settled in Los Angeles after recently moving in with friends, but one does not know where he was when he pbaded away.

Cameron had started his acting career at the age of nine, after appearing in the horror film Mirrors followed by a stint in the film of Adam Sandler, Grown Ups, one of the children of the Hollywood star.

His role as Luke Ross in the Disney TV series has propelled him to the rank of celebrity, which has allowed Cameron to find his place in the movies Descendants.

He also dubbed Jake in the animated series Jake And The Neverland Pirates.

A Disney Channel spokesman said in a statement: "From an early age, Cameron Boyce dreamed of sharing his extraordinary artistic talents with the world.

"Young man, his humanitarian work has nurtured the desire to make a difference in people's lives.

"He was an incredibly talented performer, a remarkably caring and considerate person and, above all, a loving, dedicated son, a brother, a grandson and a loving friend.

"We offer our most sincere condolences to his family, his castmates and his colleagues and join his millions of fans in mourning his pbading and we will miss him tremendously."

In recent years, Cameron has been devoted to charity, collecting thousands of pounds for the construction of drinking water wells in Swaziland and even introducing presidential hopeful Joe Biden to his awards Biden Courage in March of this year.

The actor was to play in the new HBO series, Mrs. Fletcher, alongside Kathryn Hahn, and was shooting for the television spin-off of Satan's American movie, Paradise City.

Just two months ago, Cameron said how happy his life was in a poignant interview in a magazine.

"By talking with a lot of artists, we all have one thing in common: we are all our own biggest critics," he told Haute Living in May.

"It comforts me, I know that everyone sees my work in a different light from what I see.

"They are not separating every little habit, every contraction, and every imperfection as completely as I am.
