ACP Tweneboah said that they drove to a location between Osino and Anyinam in the eastern region, where they simulated an accident, showing that the tanker had landed in a ditch because it was running at full speed.
Truck ignited
He added that the suspects had poured gasoline that they had bought in Achimota on the tanker's head and set it on fire. After that, Yakubu called the complainant's secretary and told him that the truck had been involved on his trip to Yendi. an accident.
The secretary then informed the complainant who, believing that the driver and his companion had been injured, had promptly sent the secretary to take care of both, with follow-up being planned later.
Upon arriving at the scene of the alleged accident, the secretary detected that the tanker was empty.
At that moment, the driver could not be found, but the second was sitting near the bushes near the burning truck.
When the policeman was questioned about the driver's fate, he said the driver had asked him to wait while he was traveling to Kumasi and back, police said.
Uncovered plan
