Pope Francis prayed Sunday for the victims of the bomb attack on a migrant center in Libya last week and called for concerted action to create vast humanitarian corridors to avoid such tragedies.

An air strike hit a detention center sheltering mainly African migrants in Tripoli last Tuesday, killing dozens and injuring several others.

"The international community can not endure such grave acts," the pope said in his weekly Angelus in Rome.

Pope Francis also called for prayer for those involved in recent attacks in Afghanistan, Mali, Burkina Faso and Niger.
