– President Akufo-Addo revealed that his government was gradually attacking unemployment

– He stated that he had a large number of graduates who followed different modules and programs.

President Akufo-Addo said the government is gradually tackling the problem of unemployment through initiatives such as the Nation Builders Corps (NABCO).

He added that employment opportunities were also offered to nurses and midwives under the leadership of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government.

Speaking at a meeting with the Ghanaian diaspora in Accra, the president said that about 100,000 graduates had been employed under this program.

"By tackling unemployment issues, thanks to the Nation Builders Corps initiative, we put 100,000 graduates to work.

Dozens and tens of thousands of nurses and midwives who graduated between 2012 and 2016 and were at home, their farms are used, and 59,000 teachers have been hired since I entered function in 2017, " he said.

In October 2018, the President commissioned the distribution ceremony for 100,000 beneficiaries as part of the NABCO modules, including Feed Ghana, Educate Ghana, Revenue Ghana, Ghana Heal, Enterprise Ghana, Digitize Ghana and Governance Ghana.

In addition, Ghana has committed $ 10 million for the establishment of the secretariat of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).

This decision comes after Ghana has been chosen as the host country of the Secretariat.

In pronouncing Ghana's acceptance speech at the closing session of the AU summit, President Akufo-Addo revealed that it was a privilege for Ghana to host the Secretariat, adding that Ghana was ready to give $ 10 million to the African Union to support the implementation of the secretariat.
