The Black Stars left the tournament after losing on penalties against Tunisia
Ghana missed a million US dollars without qualifying for the quarter-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations.
The Black Stars were ready to receive the said amount if they had qualified for the next stage of the competition.
The four-time champions have left the competition after losing 5-4 on penalties in Tunisia.
As part of CAF's incentives for participating teams, the quarter-finalists would receive $ 1 million, which would drop the Black Stars after not finishing in the top eight.
Before the defeat against Tunisia, Ghana qualified for the semi-finals of the last six editions of the competition, reaching the finals in 2010 and 2015.
