The new patriotic party should hold its primaries in constituencies where members of Parliament sit in January 2020.
DGN Online was informed that the incumbent MPs of the NPP wanted their primaries to be organized in parallel with the orphan constituencies scheduled for 28 September 2019.
However, the NPP National Council, according to some sources, rejected the proposal.
According to sources, the refusal of the National Council was motivated by the fact that the deputies who would be beaten during their primaries could not participate effectively in their parliamentary functions.
