Arsenal has been seen offering the opportunity to recruit Real Madrid striker Mariano Diaz for just 18 million pounds this summer, while the Spanish side is looking to balance its accounts.

Real has already spent more than £ 270 million during the transfer period for Eden Hazard, Luka Jovic, Eder Militao, Ferland Mendy and Rodrygo, and a market for Paul Pogba is still being pursued.

Zinedine Zidane is trying to recover all possible transfer funds, including Gareth Bale and Isco, which went on sale in Santiago Bernabeu.

Diaz is another example made available by the club and the striker was offered to the Gunners for only 18 million pounds.

Diaz made his Real Madrid debut in 2016, under the first spell of Zidane, but was sold to Lyon a year later for around 7 million pounds.

The Dominican international has impressed France by scoring 18 goals in 37 Ligue 1 games and was signed by Real last August for around £ 20 million (reduced fees due to an agreement that the Real had done on Diaz's rights).

The 25-year-old made only 19 appearances in all competitions with Real last year, scoring only four goals.

He now seems to be in surplus and Zidane is happy to replace him for less than the amount paid by the club a year ago.

Whether Arsenal will make an offer or not for the player, this remains to be determined because it has other transfer goals and a limited budget of about £ 45 million to spend this summer.

Emery has already submitted an offer of around £ 30 million to Real Madrid winger Lucas Vazquez, but might be tempted to take Diaz 's least expensive option to boost his lead.

The Gunners remain in talks for several players including Wilfried Zaha, Kieran Tierney, William Saliba and Malcom.
