Takoradi July 10, GNA – Management
Director of Takoradi Flour Mills, Terry Loupiac was Wednesday morning
came out of the company by the staff.

The action, according to the president of the Union,
Mr. Gideon Aryetey, was as a result of several issues affecting the growth of
the company, ranging from poor working conditions to constant abuse
and lack of respect for the workers by the manager.

The workers entered the office of the
General Manager and asked him to leave because they could no longer work
under his hostile administration.

The President of the Union said first, Mr.
Loupiac refused to leave his office at the request of the workers, but was
overwhelmed and sent peacefully from the premises of the company to the port
and later handed over to the police in New Takoradi roundabout without the molester even though
he verbally abused the workers.

According to the President, Mr. Loupiac
threatened to fire all workers upon his return.

Mr. Aryetey, who then spoke to the workers,
advised them to stay calm and return to work without confusion,
they had achieved their goal of getting the general manager out.

By the time GNA visited quiet places
had returned to the place and the workers were seen going on their work but
the management was at a meeting.

Efforts to get people responsible for managing the
company, including the public relations officer, to confirm or refute the case
it turned out futile.
