Britwum, editor of ModernGhana, showed signs of visible assault – police report

Lawyers brought together by the Ghana Association of Journalists (GJA) and supported by an NGO were expected to represent the two journalists.

But at sunset after the press conference, Britwum had denied being badaulted even though he had been heard by a sister radio station confirming the badault.

He had a new legal adviser unbeknownst to the CEO of ModernGhana and a few days later he was coached at the press conference on July 2nd.

However, new details indicate five clear days before the meeting with GJA-backed lawyers, the reporter told police in Legon, Accra, saying that he had been badaulted.

He filed the complaint without a lawyer and was accompanied by the company director, his brother and his editor, Emmanuel Ajarfor Abugri, who has always claimed to have been badaulted.
