Most of us have understood that Apple's president, Steve Jobs, would not be attending Wednesday's iPad event: he is on sick leave and Tim Cook proved to be a reliable replacement – if not enthusiastic whatsoever. Jobs in the past.

Apple Italian website SetteB defies conventional wisdom with a new report, however: they claim that Jobs will attend at least tomorrow's iPad 2 event at the Yerba Buena Center in San Francisco, and depending on his mood, he might even welcome.

What do you know, Steve? Even though we do not really feel like it's an Apple event, if you do not go on the stage as a crazy music leader you can hear, that's fine. You can just sit in the audience for a change. You have taken a little rest and the iPad 2 will be great even if you are not the one who will deliver it to you physically in the hands of the rest of the world.
