At the end of the 2019 edition of the National Quiz on Science and Mathematics, Tepa High School received the award for the most impressive school of Dr. Kwaku Mensah-Bonsu.

Their teachers also won the Jacob and Elizabeth Bamfo Memorial Awards for the most impressive school throughout the contest.

Tepa SHS in the Ashanti region reached the semi-finals of the competition after an impressive performance since the start of the competition.

They could not qualify for the final after St. Peter High beat them and High School Wesley Girls' High School in Cape Coast in the semifinal.

At the end of the final on Thursday, July 11, 2019, St. Augustine's College in Cape Coast, Central Region, won.

St. Augustine's College has won the five-time Champion Presbyterian Boys' High School Champion (PRESEC) Legon and defending champion St. Peter's High School High School, Kwahu Nkwatia, Eastern Region.

St. Augustine's College led all five rounds and finished with 39 points, Presec scoring 34 points and St. Peter's 25.

"At the end of the fifth round, here are the final results: St. Peter's had 25 points, Presec, Legon had 34 points and St. Augustine's College had 39 points," said quiz mistress Dr. Elsie Kuaffmann at the National Theater. Accra.

She added, "As far as I am concerned, you are all champions, but I have to make some distinctions. St. Peter, you have done very well, congratulations, but today was difficult, the Egyptians were too strong for you. Regardless, you have heard of the GHC1 500 Cash Zone GCB Bank.

"Presec, Legon, congratulations also, you have done very well, but the opposition has been great for you. Nevertheless, you earned 2,000 GHC in the monetary zone of the GCB Bank.

"St. Augustine's College, congratulations on winning the contest, you did it. You have earned 2,340 GHS.

At one point in the competition, Dr. Kauffmann had to remind Presec representatives to take their time to answer the questions, as they got answers that normally a Presecan would have been wrong.

"Patience is sometimes a virtue," she advised the pre-conservatives.
