Romelu Lukaku expects to stay at Man Utd this summer after Inter has failed to make an appropriate offer

[ad_1]

Romelu Lukaku is more and more resigned to staying at Manchester United after Inter Milan failed to come up with an appropriate offer during this week's talks.

The Belgian international has more and more doubts about the financial capacity of the Italian club to remove him from Old Trafford.

Inter's athletic director, Piero Ausilio, went on Thursday in London to begin negotiations with Ed Woodward, but he seems to understand that he left without making an official offer, to the chagrin of Lukaku's frustration.

United said any agreement involving a loan or players in exchange would be immediately rejected. And they are categorical: they will reject any bid lower than 75 million pounds that they have paid to Everton for both summers of 26 years.

Man Utd players who should leave … and those they can not lose

Our Manchester correspondent, James Robson, considers which players from Man Utd should leave this summer …

2/27 David de Gea

Can United really afford to risk losing it for nothing at the end of next season? If he does not sign a new agreement this summer, it may be time to withdraw money.

It is believed that Ausilio returned to Italy without receiving an official price – but in a bloated market, United is confident that it can make a profit on the second most expensive signature in its history.

It is a blow to the hopes of Forward to join Antonio Conte at San Siro.

Lukaku told Ole Gunnar Solskjær that he wanted to leave and confessed to sources close to him that he feels undermined after falling behind Marcus Rashford in the hierarchy.

Solskjær is happy to keep him at the club, rather than having to recruit a replacement for a summer, while he already intends to add up to five new players to his team.

But United would also be happy to get a profit on a player who is no longer considered an automatic starter.
