MANCHESTER UNITED kicked off their pre-season campaign with a comfortable 2-0 win over Perth Glory.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer played twenty-two players while he was playing the lead role in his squad ahead of the upcoming Premier League season.
Paul Pogba figured despite speculation on a transfer while there were first appearances for new hires Daniel James and Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
Youngsters like Angel Gomes, Tahith Chong and Mason Greenwood also played 45 minutes – and SunSport rules the way they all played.
First half-eleventh
SERGIO ROMERO
While David De Gea's contract is not yet resolved, he wants to point out that he can be the long-term number one for United. The problem was that he had nothing to do, so he was unable to prove anything.
DIOGO DALOT
Playing for his place in the camp after the capture of Aaron Wan-Bissaka. Purchased as a player of the future barely a year ago, he has to prove himself now.
AXEL TUANZEBE
Will be closely watched in the pre-season to decide if it is the answer to Old Trafford's defense issues. Speed and athletics are clearly up to the task and solid on the defensive side, but a reckless challenge in midfield has shown a slight upward trend.
PHIL JONES
Doubts about knowing he's really wanted to United after being offered partial exchange at West Ham as part of Issa Diop's offer. Good pace to cover during a rare attack in Perth, but there was nothing else to do but that.
ASHLEY YOUNG
One would expect that Mr. Versatile is for United this season and started at the back left here. Always engaged, he also spoke a lot on the field to help feed some of the youngest players.
ANDREAS PEREIRA
A big season for the Brazilian who is finally ready to have the chance to become a regular player in the first team. He became more and more beefy at the speed of the match, a decent first run.
NEMANJA MATIC
He must show that he still has legs for such an important role, especially after the departure of Ander Herrera. The first contact was interrupted a few times and Solskjaer will ask for more before Chelsea on the opening day.
JESSE LINGARD
Is a senior player now, and it is time that he badumes this role after a quiet season last year. Solskjaer tries to complain and has not had the chance to see a reverse effort.
TAHITH CHONG
We expect a lot from this 19 year old player after impressed by the configuration of his development, but he must show that it can be consistent enough to trust the team of the first team this season. Shown in flash, it can be a threat, but sometimes muscular.
DANIEL JAMES
Eager to make a good impression after arriving from Swansea, James started quickly and immediately looked at a threatening outlet on the left. As a result, Perth suffered a brutal treatment.
ANTHONY MARTIAL
Believes that his best position is in the middle of the field and that he has the chance to show his supervisor that he deserves it. Looking slightly more adjusted than last season, he made several good runs but was ousted by a Perth defense.
SECOND SEMESTER ELEVEN
JOEL PEREIRA
The third-choice goaltender at Old Trafford knows very well that it may take time to get a real opportunity for the first team. Calls out two difficult crosses to show that he has good handling skills.
AARON WAN-BISSAKA
Before the game started again, Paul Pogba gave him long instructions on how to play. Immediately, he seemed animated to try to keep attacking, and larger defensive tests will surely come.
CHRIS SMALLING
No doubt the best defender of United last season and will he want to make sure that it is he who gets the green light to play alongside the defender appointed by the club. I did not set foot wrong, but not really much to do.
MARCOS ROJO
Last season, the Argentinian was written off. United needed to know more, but he could become a player if the team managed to sign Harry Maguire. If little to do, it was nothing more than a training session.
LUKE SHAW
Hopefully this will be the season when he will finally hold his promise after the last impressive campaign. Still a voluntary outlet on the left, but regarding his replacement, he went directly to the locker room.
SCOTT McTOMINAY
Has real claims to be a regular starter in the United midfield base, and started as he was serious here. Strong in the tackle, calm in the possession
PAUL POGBA
Solskjaer wants to keep Pogba, the player wants to go out – but he's always a United player that he has to produce. He tied the fact that Mata played complex pbades and that his shot allowed Rashford to score for the first goal.
MASON GREENWOOD
At 17, he will learn a lot about being part of the first team on the tour and will take his time to settle in the game. Had a great chance to score but snatched from his eight-meter effort and dragged off. A brilliant dribble showed how good he could be.
JUAN MATA
Some doubts about the fact that he has received a new contract, but he remains a quality player and a nice film released by Angel Gomes. Another wonderful pbad to Greenwood.
Angel Gomes
The 18-year-old winger is very excited and he could be a surprise pack this season. Watched immediately animated, a box of tricks and tips and unlucky with a long-range effort. Encouraging display.
MARCUS RASHFORD
Probably the preferred option by United in the middle of the coming season, but you have to start becoming more consistent in terms of goals. So nice to see him try his first chance, opening the scoring with a clinical shot from left to right.
UNDER
JAMES GARNER
England's under-18 captain qualified for the last ten minutes in the middle of the field and scored within two minutes. Intercepted a Perth ball, one step forward and shot in the bottom 20 meters.
