The second African Evidence to Action (E2A) 2019 conference officially kicked off today, July 11, at the University of Ghana, with the keynote speech by Ghana's Vice President and the University of Ghana team. Government Economic Management, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.

The conference is organized by the International Center for Evaluation and Development (ICED), the Institute for Statistical, Social and Economic Research (ISSER), the Ministry of Monitoring and Evaluation of Ghana, in partnership with feed the Future Innovation for Market Access, Campbell Collaboration, and other partners.

The 2019 E2A began with two-day pre-workshop sessions, held on July 9 and 10, to identify ways to generate and use evidence-based data to address development issues at home. Ghana and Africa. This year 's conference follows the 1st edition of E2A 2018 held in Kenya.

The theme of E2A 2019 is "Accountability and Accountability: Strengthening the Production and Use of Evidence in Support of Reforms and the Development Agenda".
