Becki Nock's toughest test almost killed her … but she also overloaded her life.
Diagnosed with advanced lymphatic cancer, she surprised doctors by getting the green light after only four months.
Then she became a mother despite the doctors claiming that chemotherapy had made her sterile.
Then the overweight manager threw nine stones, ended an unhappy relationship and found a new man.
Becki, 26, said, "Everything in my life feels perfect now. It's almost impossible to believe how few years ago I had life-threatening cancer, morbid obesity, and was told that I would never have children.
"Hugging my Leo son in his arms and feeling so fit and happy is beyond my wildest dreams."
Becki gained weight after leaving home at age 18 and moved in with her childhood girlfriend.
She said, "We lived in takeaway food. We had a family-size Domino pizza regularly, several times a week, with pizzas, chips and chocolate all day, as well as huge amounts of thick white bread for every meal.
"I thought I was happy, so I really did not care about my weight."
Becki got a management position at Marks & Spencer, which meant a reduction on food. This only added to her comfort by eating and she ballooned up to 18 stone.
Then, in September 2013, she went to her GP in Swindon, Wilts, after finding a mbad in her armpit.
Two weeks later, there were five mbades and a biopsy showed that the 20-year-old patient had rare Hodgkin lymphoma. Other badyzes have shown that the cancer has spread to his neck, chest, belly and hips.
"It was aggressive and the third step, just a step before being terminal and in my organs," Becki said. "I had the impression that my world had collapsed."
Becki was asked if she wanted to participate in an American trial of new chemotherapy drugs.
"Of course I accepted. I had to try everything, "she said. "But I had no idea of the seriousness of the chemotherapy. I remember telling my mother that I would rather die than continue. "
After a month of chemotherapy in November 2013, Becki was told that she had no more eggs and that she could never conceive.
"I was devastated, but of course, at that time, it was not a priority," she said.
After only eight weeks and four cycles of chemotherapy, tests showed that her cancer was gone. The doctors were amazed.
"I remember very well that day on Friday, December 13, crying for hours at the news that I was in remission, let alone in a fraction of the time possible."
Becki completed her chemo in April 2014 and felt that she had a second chance in life.
Two years later, another shock came: she was pregnant. "I immediately phoned my consultant to tell him the wonderful news, which sometimes told me that he still thought I would be a mother one day," she said. "It was my second miracle in two years and I was delighted."
Becki again accumulated the books until the birth of his baby, Leo, in January 2017. Bigger than ever and also suffering from postnatal depression, Becki nibbled malbubes before weighing 18 pesos again.
"Looking at pictures of myself, I started crying. I had this second chance in life and I had a fantastic baby, but I committed suicide.
Determined to change, she joined Weight Watchers, now called WW.
"I had a click because no food was forbidden. I could settle for occasional takeaways on weekends. Becki would usually have a bowl of fruit and yogurt for breakfast, bread with chicken and a salad for lunch, then fries or pasta with salad for dinner.
By going to a gym clbad a week and walking Leo as much as possible, in April 2018 she had lost five stones. That month, she went to do a chicken in Marbella.
"I remember sitting by the pool with my friends, dressed in a size 14 swimsuit, a feeling of strong mental and physical strength for the first time in years," he said. she said.
But the life of his partner was identical, gorging himself with takeaway, putting it in the attitude of temptation.
Upon returning from the trip, Becki decided to abandon her as well as her weight.

"I stopped taking the antidepressants I had been prescribed after my cancer and I continued to lose weight and strengthen myself day by day. I've weighed 10.5 stone then. When Leo and I moved into our apartment in November, I had only 9 stone left.
"I have a new partner, Darren, and I can enter a size eight for the first time. I have a job as a part time receptionist in a general practice, so take a lot of time with Leo, whom I really like.
"It's amazing to think that if I had not had cancer, I do not think I would have changed my behavior and become half the woman I was. Every element of my life feels perfect now. "
