Hohoe (V / R), July 13, GNA – The Hohoe
Magistrate Court granted bail to Ms. Tsigbe Doris Akos, owner of
Lorlornyo Catering Services, up to 5,000.00 GH ¢ with two deposits for
Failure to pay Social Security and National Insurance (SSNIT)
workers' contributions.

Default pension contributions were raised to
to 2888.00 ¢, covering the period from November 2017 to April 2019.

Mrs. Akos who is also a caterer, pleaded
guilty and was convicted on his own cause to reappear on July 18 of this year for
sentencing.

Mr. George Akuaku, Hohoe SSNIT Compliance
Supervisor, presenting the facts of the case in court, chaired by Mr.
Peter Anongdare, said that the accused was the owner of Lorlornyo Catering
Services in Hohoe.

He said that the establishment was registered and
under the basic national security regime under the National Pensions Act
2008 (Law 766) as amended by Article 7 of the National Pensions Act (Amendment)
2014 (law 883) and therefore required to respect the law.

Mr. Akuaku stated that the inspections carried out by
SSNIT inspectors in the institution's payrolls covering
this period revealed that the accused had failed to make contributions and
penalties amounting to 2 889,00 GH ¢.

He said that a notice of application had been served on the
accused and several attempts were made for her to settle her debt but
she failed to do it.
