– 118 people chose forms for parliamentary primaries of the NDC opposition in Greater Accra.

– The candidates are the actor John Dumelo and the former National Service Executive Director, Dr. Michael Kpessah Whyte

– Candidates will be in contention for 33 constituencies out of 34 seats.

A total of 118 people, including 20 women and 98 men, chose forms to participate in the parliamentary opposition primaries organized by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Greater Accra region.

Nominees are Michael Kpessah Whyte, former executive director of the National Services Secretariat, and actor John Dumelo.

Many members, including Ningo-Prampram MP Samuel Nartey George; Alfred Okoe Vanderpuje, MP for Ablekuma South; Odododiodoo MP Nii Lante Vanderpuije and Ashaiman MP Ernest Norgbey also seek to convince the party to run in the general elections of 2020 in the general elections under the leadership of the NDC. .

Of the 34 constituencies in the region, Winifred Ashley will be the only one to oppose the Ablekuma North headquarters.

In Shai Osu Doku, where Dr. Kpessah Whyte is preparing for party-level elections, incumbent MP Linda Ocloo is also seeking to back down the party.

Linda Ocloo, defeated Dr. Kpessah Whyte's competition in June 2016 in a by-election to choose a deputy candidate when her husband, Desmond William Ocloo, died in a tragic accident in Juaso Ashanti region in March 2016 shortly after his election.

She won the general elections in December 2016.

The parliamentary primaries of Ayawaso West Wuogon will see actor John Dumelo compete with Suzzy Afua Adoboe for the seat.

Dumelo had already come to contest the NDC primaries for the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency when the seat became vacant following the death of outgoing MP Patriotic Party (NPP) Emmanuel Kyeremanteng Agyarko.

Delali Brempong, a pharmacist, won the party-level primaries but was defeated by the widow of the late MP Lydia Alhbadan, who challenged the NPP vote in controversial polls.

Delali Brempong, who is not a beginner in the primaries, seems to have given up trying to become a member of the constituency, because he had not chosen candidatures before the deadline of Friday, July 12, 2019.

Below you will find a list of nominees for the upcoming NDC primary in the Greater Accra region.
