Aaron Wan-Bissaka revealed the advice given by Wilfried Zaha prior to his transfer of 50 million pounds sterling to Manchester United.
The most expensive defender in United's history sought advice from his Crystal Palace teammate, Zaha, who had done the same thing six years ago.
The winger sank to Old Trafford and eventually returned to Selhurst Park to restart his career. And after failing to establish under David Moyes and Louis van Gaal at United, Zaha offered advice to Wan-Bissaka.
"When he knew I had just rejoined the team, he simply told me to play without fear," said the 21-year-old. "I came here as a new rookie and he said," Just play your game and do what you did last season. "

"He was happy for me, he said that I deserved it and that I should continue to work hard and do what I do."
Wan-Bissaka impressed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer by refusing to take extra time after competing at the Under-21 Europe Championships for England.
The right-back was determined to join the rest of his teammates during the Manchester-Perth flight with the goal of ensuring that he settled as quickly as possible after his move.
This is proof of his determination to face Old Trafford and to avoid a repetition of Zaha's difficulties after changing his profile in 2013.
Zaha has realized her potential at the Palace – and is a target for Arsenal this summer.
Wan-Bissaka is determined to keep the promise that convinced Solskjaer to make him the key to rebuilding United – and is confident that he can withstand the pressure of such a big move.
"I'm trying not to focus on that side," he said. "For me, this is only developing as a player and my ability to help the team to go forward.

"I was waiting there (pressure) when I arrived here.It is a great club.I would not be there without Crystal Palace, so the attention will always be there.I just have to play my play and block IT out.
"I wanted to change my development and it was the team where I thought I could do it.
"The style of play, the way they work, the intensity, it's going to develop me as a player, I always want to be pushed to reach my potential."
Wan-Bissaka had a taste of the scrutiny that accompanies United's life during the Euros.
He was ruled out after scoring a goal in the English defeat against France, which allowed his coach Aidy Boothroyd to suggest that he had been affected by speculation about his future.
"For a young player who knows only the academy and the first team at Crystal Palace, it would be silly not to say that he had not thought about it," Boothroyd said in a confession extremely frank at the time.

"I would not be honest if I told you something else, when this speculation is flying around you, it will surely turn your head."
Responding to these comments for the first time here in Perth, Wan-Bissaka rejected accusations that his imminent decision would have had a negative impact on his form.
"It was not difficult, I was not really focused on it," he said after his encouraging start to United's 2-0 win in pre-season against Perth Glory . "I'm not concentrating on speculation – I'm just lowering my head and continuing to do it on the ground.
"It's easy for me to block, the essential thing is to play football."
Former United defender Denis Irwin believes Wan-Bissaka will add a new dimension to United, alongside wing Daniel James.
James also impressed in Perth. (Getty Images)
"He is very fast, a modern defender in the fact that he was a winger and that he played very well during the 15 months that I saw him at Crystal Palace in a defensive role ", did he declare. "He has a lot more pressure now, but I hope he'll be able to handle that – we needed a bit of pace and youth in the team."
"He and Dan James seem very humble, I've noticed it during training and around, and they seem quiet.
"There is nothing wrong with that, they will keep their heads down and work hard because they have a great opportunity to play for one of the biggest clubs in the world and they must like that."
"You have to ignore the fees, I think 50 million pounds for a back-up will become the norm."
The price of Wan-Bissaka did not spare him the customary initiation required with each new signature at United.
In front of his new teammates at the Crown Towers Hotel in Perth, he began interpreting a Meek Mill track, which was different from Scott McTominay's offer 'Ain's No Sunshine &' # 39; or James' Follow Me's # 39;
He added: I'm going to stick to what I know, it's football. "
