England's cricket manager Ashley Giles says he is indifferent to England's contention that they would get an extra round in their World Cup win over New Zealand.
The defensive player's throw hit Ben Stokes's stick as he dipped to finish a second run of the final and was four.
England had six points, but Stokes and Adil Rashid did not cross when the pitch was released. The law therefore seems to indicate it was one of too much.
When asked if it mattered to him, Giles replied, "Not really."
He added: "You can discuss the last bullet that [Trent] Bowled bolt was a stump in the leg and if Stokes had not looked for two, he would probably have dropped anyway.
"We are world champions, we have the trophy and we intend to keep it."
Australian referee retired Simon Taufel, who has been named the International Cricket Council's year-round referee five times, from 2004 to 2008, qualified the award for the extra round of " obvious error ".
The ICC said that the referees made decisions on the ground based on their interpretation of the rules and did not comment on them.
Stokes then helped England to tie New Zealand's 241 total before winning one of the most incredible cricket matches ever played as a result of a "super-game" additional.
Both teams finished with a total of 15 points, but England was crowned champion because of the number of points and points scored – 26 points against 17 for New Zealand – throughout the match.
New Zealand drummer Henry Nicholls canceled the decision as part of the sport.
"It does not mean anything to us now, it's the game, things are happening," he told BBC Radio 5 Live.
"Sometimes we get dizzy, England had a good tournament, they've been the dominant team for four years and they deserve to win."

Law 19.8 Reversal or voluntary act of defensive player:
If the limit results from a reversal or the deliberate act of a defensive player, the points scored must be:
- any race to penalties awarded to one or the other of the parties;
- allowance for the limit; and
- the tracks completed by the drummers, as well as the current race if they had already crossed when casting or act.
