Arsenal is nearing the signing of Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dani Ceballos, on a loan agreement with Real Madrid.

Ceballos made it clear that he wanted to play football regularly next season and was aware that it was unlikely that he would get that chance at Real Madrid for the moment.

But Spain under 21 is confident of reaching Real Madrid in the long run and is considering the proposal to leave the club on loan this summer.

Tottenham holds a stake in Ceballos and Mauricio Pochettino is a big fan of the midfielder.

While he's always ready to travel to North London, according to the Spanish daily ASTottenham rivals, Arsenal, should be the beneficiaries of the credit transfer.

Arsenal is about to enter into an agreement with Real Madrid and Ceballos has made the decision to join the Gunners for a loan agreement of one season.

Unai Emery personally took charge of the deal and the enthusiasm of Arsenal's manager for the signing of Ceballos convinced the 22-year-old midfielder.

Real Madrid has not considered selling the player, but has been willing to send it on loan to help it grow.

Arsenal hope that if Ceballos joins, he will do better than Denis Suarez when he was loaned to Emirates in the second half of last season.
