Affordable new freezing device for cancerous tissue can kill tumors

NEW YORK: Researchers have developed a new reusable device that can help women with bad cancer in low-income countries by using carbon dioxide, a widely available and affordable gas, to feed a tissue freezing probe cancerous instead of argon, an industry standard.

In all tests, the device formed sufficiently large ice balls and reached temperatures below -40 ° C, which is consistent with the standard gel temperatures for tissue death for similar devices in the United States.

For the second experiment, the team treated 9 rats with 10 bad tumors. They then examined the tissues under the microscope and confirmed that the tool had succeeded in killing 85% or more of the tissues of all the tumors.

Finally, the team tested the tool's ability to reach temperatures cold enough to allow destruction of tissues in the normal liver of pork, whose temperature is similar to that of a human bad.

The device was able to stay cool enough throughout the experiment to kill the target tissue.
