Brendan Rodgers confirms that Leicester has rejected two offers from Harry Maguire, Man Utd's target

Leicester rejected two offers for Harry Maguire.

Brendan Rodgers confirmed the news after Leicester's victory over Scunthorpe, in which Maguire played in the second half.

Manchester United are very keen on the English defender as the champions of the city are also interested.

But Leicester requires nearly £ 90 million for Maguire and insists that none of the bids received has reached the asking price.

It is believed that Maguire would like to settle in Old Trafford this summer with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, making it his priority transfer.

The boss of the city, Pep Guardiola, also wants a replacement for the outgoing captain, Vincent Kompany.

After the victory over Scunthorpe, Rodgers said, "We do not have to sell Harry.

"Harry was absolutely brilliant about that from the start. It's a top, a top player and a top guy. I think it's important that the fans know it.

"I've already been in this situation with players and it's not always easy but Harry has been absolutely superb. We discussed it, of course.

"He is happy and I take my hat off for the way he handled all this because it can be troubling."

"I'm relaxed about everything. We understand the situation from every point of view because United and City are big clubs.

"But unless they answer our badessment, it will not be sold and it's that simple."

United would have made an initial offer of £ 70 million for Maguire, while an offer of £ 80 million had been launched this weekend.

It is unclear whether any or all of these offers have been received from United, which remains the favorite for Maguire's signature.
