Ajax defender Matthijs de Ligt arrived in Italy on Tuesday night to finalize his transfer to European football giant Juventus.
Juventus posted photos and a short video of the 19-year-old star on his official Twitter page shortly after De Ligt landed at Turin-Caselle airport.
"I'm really happy to be here," he said.
According to Football Italia, Juventus will pay a total of 75 million euros ($ 83 million) to the Ajax football club.
With De Ligt on the horizon and the addition of 21-year-old Turkish defender Merih Demiral, Italy's Juventus aims to rejuvenate its aging line of defense in the years to come.
