Christian Pulisic says it's amazing to work in Chelsea under the guidance of Frank Lampard, whom he grew up looking like a kid.

The American winger decided to join early his new teammates Chelsea and met them Tuesday in Japan.

The 20-year-old is back in pre-season training just nine days after the final defeat of the United States Gold Cup in Mexico.

Pulisic said GAFFER Magazine: When I think about this club, there are a lot of great players that come to mind. I grew up watching Frank Lampard and all these players at the top of their form in the Premier League and Champions League.

"For me, Chelsea has always been one of the biggest teams and now, playing at this place, it's really looping from that moment on. It's amazing."

Pulisic joined Chelsea from Borussia Dortmund in early January but returned to the German club on loan for the remainder of the season.

More than six months after its signing, Pulisic is expected to debut in its J.League World Challenge match with Kawasaki Frontale on Friday morning.

He hopes to bring a new dynamic to the Chelsea team after Eden Hazard's departure to Real Madrid last month.

Pulisic added, "I think I can bring a lot of speed and creativity to the game. The speed and different attack capabilities that can really help the team.

"I think I have tools that can really do well in this league [Premier League]. I just can not wait. "

There is less than three weeks left before Pulisic makes his England debut for Chelsea on his first outing to Old Trafford on the first Sunday of the season. Sky sports August 11th.
