Authorities at Sandema Technical High School in Builsa North District, Upper East East Region, have temporarily closed the school today after rioting students rejected a breakfast prepared for 986 residents. this morning.

A clash erupted between students on campus Tuesday around midnight after some students refused to comply with the order given by the school's cadet corps to go to bed.

Vehicles and homes were set on fire in chaos, while students were wounded with machetes during the chaos.

One student died as a result of a gunshot wound and another girl, a girl, collapsed when police fired warning shots to restore calm.

District District Director David Afoko, who visited the school after the riots, announced the closure of the school.

He added that students had three weeks to return to school.

He added that a five-member committee will be set up to examine chaos-related issues.

The committee, he continued, will be made up of representatives from the school's board of directors, the security services, the district badembly and the Ghana Education Service.
