Dan Crowley has completed his transfer from Willem II to Birmingham with a two year contract, with a one year option.

Aged 21, he spent the last two years in the Netherlands with Go Ahead Eagles, Willem II and SC Cambuur.

Crowley, who is qualified to play for Ireland through his grandparents, represented Ireland and England at the miners' level.

The former Arsenal youth has publicly declared his intention to play for the Boys in Green and McCarthy Mick attended the finals of the Netherlands Cup in May to see Crowley play against Ajax.

However, he was surprisingly left on the bench after Willem II's 4-0 defeat against Ajax in the final despite the 34 league games played last season as well as the five Cup games leading up to the final.

Crowley is Birmingham's second summer rookie after Gary Gardner's final transfer.
