Many proponents of the nuclear power plant in the central region are agitating in the capital, Cape Coast, for what they call unfair treatment of the first vice-president of the region, Horace Ekow Ewusi.

Protesters from 23 constituencies in the region blame party regional president Robert Kutin Jnr. to hide behind a faceless petitioner, Edward Okraku Adum, who wishes to suspend his first vice president, which he considers a threat to his position as president in the upcoming elections to the executive.

Ekow Ewusi was suspended on Monday by the president after the first vice president refused to answer a petition from Edward Okraku Adum accusing him of criminal acts, including drug smuggling, drug smuggling. 39, prison escape in the UK and illegal auction of excavators seized mining sites.

Mr Ewusi is reported to have asked the President to produce the petitioner in order to authenticate his application before responding to requests that the President has not made.
