Information reaching YEN.com.gh indicates that seven people suspected of being illegal miners were trapped in a dug pit.
The incident allegedly took place in Adansi Akrokeri, in the Ashanti region.
Rescue efforts are underway to take the seven illegal miners out of the pit.
