According to Professor Wole Soyinka, Nigeria is currently raising a generation of illiterates. Referring to the trolls on the Internet, the Nobel laureate said the country is raising a generation that is the first to comment on the Internet issues they are profoundly unaware of.

He made this point when he spoke at the launch of InnoCreativa Youth Hub 2030 and the project's logo by the Creative Community Youth Development Initiative (CYCDI) at the Civic Center in Lagos. .

"They are waiting for Wole Soyinka to lead a march to Aso Rock. It's time to get up and stop writing garbage on the internet about things you do not understand. I do not know how to describe the new generation beyond a generation of trolls on the Internet.

"Young Nigerians are full of sperm on the outside, but when they are in Nigeria, they are full of gasoline. We build a generation of illiterates. They are the first to comment on the Internet about problems they do not know. When you talk about education, I get texts from the new generation and can not believe that these texts come from youth.

"When I decided to build my house in the forest, I bought a used diesel generator and asked someone to dig a borehole. I wanted to be autonomous. What I want to convey to you is that I thought about the possibility of being autonomous. This implies that I can come to cooperatives with others and demand things from the government by any means necessary, "said Soyinka.
