Tesla raises the bar for electric vehicle charging with the new 24-station V3 booster

Tesla unfolds the first supercharging station in its network composed of 100% V3 charging stations. The new Las Vegas Supercharging site includes 24 booths capable of operating at 250 kW each. In addition to the 24 V3 Supercharging stands, the site will also offer 15 Tesla destination chargers for those who want to spend a little more time playing, sleeping or eating before heading back to the road.

At a speed of 250 kW (which we like to call "nanochargingThe new stations can restore up to 180 miles in a 15-minute quick session. This corresponds to the actual loading speeds of the Tesla Hawthorne Supercharger in a three-dimensional Tesla model 3 long-range propulsion. Our session reached the limit of 1722 km per hour. Although this rate is not maintained throughout the loading session, the actual hourly rate is lower. Another Tesla owner discovered that 50% of the vehicle's range had been restored in just 12 minutes.

In addition to its load capacity, the new station houses the full range of Tesla energy services, including a solar photovoltaic system of 88.16 kW DC split between 2 awnings (according to an older permit and canceled for the same location). On the ground, a Tesla Powerpack energy storage system of 87 kW / 174 kWh consumes any unused energy for later use. The approved license for the new supercharging site did not contain system details, but had the same estimated value of just over $ 1 million ($ 1,066,475.82), indicating the same scope.

The new V3 Boost Station builds a boost footprint for Tesla, right next to the famous Las Vegas Strip. It lies beneath the Linq carousel and provides easy access to many nearby casinos, as well as to the suspended monorail of Las Vegas. Tesla currently hosts more than 6,500 loading sessions per week in the Las Vegas metropolitan area and the new station should be able to accommodate 1,500 additional sessions every day.

The new supercharging site is on the Caesars Entertainment property and directly supports its 30% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 2025.
