The CEO of the Ghanaian Integrated Aluminum Development Corporation (GIADEC), Mr. Michael Ansah, led a delegation for a working visit to the Ghana Bauxite Company Ltd.

(GBC) in Awaso in the newly created North West region

The delegation included a member of GIADEC's Board of Directors, Mr. Benito Owusu-Bio, also Deputy Minister at the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources, and members of the GIADEC management team.

Mr. Alfred Amuah, representative of Bibiani-Anhwiaso Bekwai, and the representative of the Sefwi Bekwai Police Command, led by Supt. Isaac Baah.

In recent times, the GBC has been affected by industrial troubles affecting part of its workforce, resulting in significant damage to buildings and other property.

The group was greeted on arrival by the company's management, led by the managing director, Mr. J. K. Fang; the Deputy Director General, Mr. Lui Xin; Mr. Emmanuel Agyapong, Director of the mine, and Mr. Isaac Ofori Poku, local representative of Bosai Minerals Group.

They led the delegation on a visit to the premises of the company to inform them of the damage suffered by the raging workers.
