Citroen C5 Aircross 2019 review

[ad_1]

Is there anything interesting in its design? 8/10

Citroën is known for its off-the-wall styling, and the C5 Aircross is similar in appearance to the unusual new SUVs such as the C4 Cactus and C3 Aircross, with its LED taillights positioned over its headlights.

What are the dimensions of the C5 Aircross compared to competitors such as the RAV4 or even the same model as the Peugeot 3008?

Well, at 4500 mm long, the C5 Aircross is 100 mm less than a RAV4, 15 mm less at 1840 mm in diameter and 15 mm less at 1670 mm in height.

How convenient is the interior space? 8/10
Slide these rear seats toward the front and the luggage compartment capacity goes from 580 liters to a volume of 720 liters.

Is this a good value for money? What features are provided? 7/10

The Aircross C5 range includes two shades: Feel, entry level, priced at $ 39,990, and the high-end Shine range, at $ 43,990.

The list of standard equipment on the base grade is excellent and provides almost no reason to switch to Shine. A 12.3-inch digital cluster and a 7.0-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, satellite navigation, digital radio, a 360-degree viewback camera, front and rear parking sensors, dual-zone climate control, fabric seats, gear selector switches, proximity key, hatchback, LED position lights, automatic headlamps and wipers, tinted rear window, 18-inch alloy wheels and roof bars .

To get ahead, you'll also have a power-badisted driver's seat, leather and fabric combination seats, 19-inch alloy wheels, a wireless charger and aluminum pedals.

What are the key statistics for engine and transmission? 7/10

Both types are powered by a 1.6-liter four-cylinder turbo petrol engine of 121 kW / 240 Nm. Trivia: This is the same unit sitting under the hood of the Peugeot 3008.

What does it look like to drive? 7/10

Magic carpet manufacturers will start marketing their carpets with the Citroen C5 Aircross system, because that's how this mid-size French SUV feels at ease.

I'm serious, I just got out of a couple of big German luxury SUVs that do not ride as well as the C5 Aircross.

Nope, there is no air suspension, but cleverly designed dampers that (at the risk of simplifying too much) contain mini-dampers to dampen the dampers.

The result is an extremely comfortable ride, even on slows and poor road surfaces.

The disadvantage is a car that seems too buoyant and bends a lot in cornering, although the squealing of the tires was remarkable for its absence even in sharp turns.

How much fuel does it consume? 7/10

According to Citroën, the C5 Aircross will use 7.9 L / 100 km on a combination of open and urban roads, which is almost the case with a computer of 8.0 L / 100 km reported after 614 km of highways, country roads, suburban streets and CBDs.

What security equipment is installed? What security rating? 8/10

The Feel and Shine categories are equipped with the same standard safety equipment: AEB, blind spot monitoring, track maintenance badistance and six airbags.

The C5 Aircross aircraft has not yet received an ANCAP clbadification.

How much does it cost to own? What guarantee is offered? 7/10

The C5 Aircross benefits from Citroën's five-year unlimited mileage warranty, with five-year roadside badistance.

Maintenance is recommended every 12 months or every 20,000 km. Although there is no price cap, Citroën says that over five years you can expect to pay $ 3010 in maintenance costs.
